24 Returns To Television

The much-loved American TV series, 24, broadcasted worldwide by Fox Network, is expected to make a comeback his year. After a failed attempt at producing the 24 feature film, Fox has considered reviving the series with a limited run of 12 episodes.

What Are We In For?

The thriller event teleseries, that is situated and filmed in London, will essentially present the anticipated return of agent Jack Bauer played by Kiefer Sutherland and trail his endeavors to foil terrorist activity.

Just like the original series, which ended in 2010, it will retain its real-time format with split screens and interweaving storylines. Kevin Reilly of Fox disclosed that the series will showcase the 12 “most important” hours from a typical season of 24.

Starcast: Some Old, Some New

The series will feature Kiefer Sutherland as lead Jack Bauer, The role of Chloe O’Brian was officially announced in August 2013 to be played by Mary Lynn Rajskub, yet again.

Other oldies include Kim Raver as Audrey Raines and William Devane as James Heller. Newbies in the series are CIA agents Erik Ritter and Jordan Reed played by Gbenga Akinnagbe and Giles Matthey respectively, Michael Wincott cast as the ill-famed hacker Adrian, Judy Davis as the widow of a terrorist Margot, Banjamin Bratt as head of the CIA Steve Harris, and Yvonne Strahovski.

When Will It Be Aired?

The series is titled 24: Live Another Day, and is supposed to debut on May 5, 2014. Filming began in the October of 2013 in London, England.

Directed by Jon Cassar, the miniseries will be headed by the Emmy Award-winning crew consisting of executive producers Howard Gordon, Kiefer Sutherland (who also plays the lead role), Evan Katz, Manny Coto, David Fury, Brian Grazer, and co-creator Robert Cochran.
