Buy Whatever You Can Lay Your Eyes On
From a product displayed on the mantle and a poster of a dress you badly want to buy, to a picture you stumble upon while you’re flipping lazily through your magazine, and the item flaunted on a TV commercial, you can have it all. You only need to have an app in your phone, and a camera on your smartphone.
How Does This Work?
You’ll have to install an app on your phone. Then keep a lookout for advertisements or other displays that fashion a PowaTag on them. Focus your camera on the product you wish to buy. Your camera will capture the PowaTag logo, which is almost like a barcode. This is linked to the store of the advertiser, which facilitates an instant purchase.
What Can You Buy?
Apart from clothes and accessories, you can use this to buy groceries and music as well. The firm, Powa Technologies, has signed up with about 240 brands around the world. This includes brands like Reebok and Adidas, to Universal Music and Carrefour.
Who’s The Mastermind?
This visualization and implementation was the handiwork of Dan Wagner, who’s an Internet entrepreneur. This is the first time a British firm has come up with an interesting innovation on the Internet. This sensation is being called as Britain’s first potential Google or Facebook!
