#GroceriesMakeTablets? Well, Tesco Does.
Unbelievable eh?
At Tesco, you would certainly buy tomatoes, potatoes, milk, cheerios…but are you ready to buy a tablet from a grocery store? And that’s not all because Tesco is going to create an entire tailored experience for its customers.
Hudl is the name of this new product designed by the British multinational grocery and general merchandise retailer. The price will be between £100 and £119, depending on how loyal you are to Tesco.
The new Tesco Hudl is a 7″ Android tablet that is fitted with a display that offers a resolution of 1440 x 900 pixels and is powered by a 1.5GHz quad core processor. The new Tesco Hudl comes with a Google’s Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system and with a rechargeable battery capable to last for 9 hours straight.
But as we said, that’s not all because Tesco has already prepared the tablet with an access to its own multimedia world, which include BlinkBox movies + TV, music, Clubcard TV (which offers free movies and TV shows exclusively for Clubcard holders), banking and its shopping services.
Its biggest rival is the Amazon Kindle Fire which has a similar sized screen (at a lower resolution), a slower processor and half the storage capability.
Hudl comes in four colours and will be available starting September 30th. As we said, the more loyal to Tesco you will be, the less you will pay. It will start from £119, but if you are a Clubcard Boost holder, you will be able to save £19.
