There is so much work that goes into making a single movie, and most of us never even give it a second thought. In this new age of sci-fi flicks and action-thrillers, there are so many special effects involved in creating every scene, that you will be appalled.

At the Oscars 2014, we saw a whole range of movies that were nominated for the Visual Effects Award, from “Gravity”, “Iron Man 3” and “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” to “Star Trek Into Darkness“. Let’s take a look at what goes on behind all the animated Scenes in these movies.

…The engineers. Yes, these are the creative minds behind all the entertaining sequences that you watch every other day. Even a scene with people walking across a bridge was once just them walking across the studio with green walls.
The vintage cars, the trees, the transformers, the ships, and even the explosions, are all added into the clip at a later stage of visual effects.
Your Favorite Superheroes Are A Joke
Captain America and Superman look rather hilarious pretending to jump off nothing or suspended from strings. Spiderman doesn’t have any powers without aid from animation, and tiger in the movie ‘The Life Of Pi’ never existed.
