We love YouTube. There is not much to argue that its video cyber dominance is unparalleled. Recently they have announced that its public forum for comments will now be moderated and will also require the use of a Google+ account. Comments on Youtube will be displayed by relevance and also meaningful connections.

In addition to automatic filters, video creators will finally have power to filter the type of discussions so to inspire productive conversations. Minus the CIA kind of information gathering that Google+ will now have, the idea of comment moderation is refreshing. Finally being able to watch the latest tech product launch without reading below how Justin Bieber is greater than Barack Obama!

Could this be the end to our despised/beloved YouTube trolls?

Although at the surface everything seems perfect in Candyland, with the new form of moderation, Google’s disguise of introducing a new feature to implement the use of Google+ is simply smart marketing.

When Google+ was first launched it was clear that it would not gain subscribers through the same natural methods Facebook or Twitter grew. Google’s force-feeding method to account activations seems to be working as the latest usage of Google+ is undoubtedly going to drive up account enrollment
