Naptime With Baby And Dog

Jessica Shyba, mother of this 23-month old boy called Beau, has a rather interesting hobby. She photographs her little one napping away with their little puppy, Theo, and puts them up on Instagram.

What started out as an innocent naptime friendship, is now an immensely adorable photo series on Shyba’s Instagram account.

How It Happens

Soon after Shyba puts Beau to sleep, she gets Theo into his room for naptime. The pup seems to instinctively plop right on top of the baby, in a characteristic lovable embrace. This blissful sleep extends for at least two hours every day, and the two seem to be extremely at peace.

A Habit That Can’t Be Stopped

The two sleep together every single day, and has become kind of a natural activity. Developing a truly adorable friendship with this interaction, Shyba is captivated by the beauty of it all.

The Instagram Hashtag

Tagging all the pictures she clicks of the two with the hashtag #TheoandBeau, Shyba’s Instagram account has gained immense fondness by viewers.

The Friendship

Since Theo was orphaned, or rather disowned by his mother at a very young age, he was in need for a loving companion, which he has clearly found in Beau. Being 8 weeks old, Theo takes his place among the three kids in Shyba’s house, and is hardly considered as a pet.

Siblings All The Way

Apart from snuggling up together to sleep in the most awww-inducing positions, the duo also fight like normal siblings. Shyba’s Vine account showcases their daily lives together, giving you a deeper insight into this organic and beautiful relationship.

Future Plans

Shyba plans to make use of this photography project to compile it into a book, and donate the proceeds to the SPCA in Santa Cruz.
