There are also some great visual changes, including the redesign of some of the native iOS apps, as well as increased functionality.
Keypad
The Apple app that helps you dial numbers, also called the Phone app, has undergone some pretty cool changes. The number buttons have been retained as they were in the previous update, but the ‘call’ button is now a circle with a phone icon inside it.
Phone Call
When you’re getting a call, the answer/decline screen that appears has been redesigned as well. Instead of the block-shaped ‘answer’ or ‘decline’ buttons, you will now see small red and green button icons.
Settings
The Touch ID system that is only compatible with the iPhone 5 and up has been given added functionality with the 7.1 update. A whole new section in the Settings menu has been included for the use of this feature.
Wallpapers
Perhaps one of the coolest features of the iOS 7 was the parallax effect it was able to add to wallpapers. This was clearly not fancied by all, especially those who are prone to motion sickness. Thanks to the latest update, you can now choose to turn the perspective feature off.
Siri
With the iOS 7.1 upgrade, many international users have reported a warm and humanised Siri, especially the Japanese and British English voices. Some others with a less robotic sounding voice include the Mandarin and the Australian English versions of Siri.
Calendar And Weather
The revamped calendar now lets you check and review all your appointments and events right under the calendar view. The weather app is more informative, with all weather conditions duly filled in.
