The Lumia phones running Windows operating system met with two distinct responses. Most users loved the simplicity and user-friendly nature of the operating system.

The others hated it with a vengeance branding it the worst phone of all time. Trying to find a middle ground, Nokia released the Android-like operating system with their X series of phones.

Neither Here Nor There

The X series was neither the solid colored simplistic Windows interface nor was the powerhouse that Android is. While people hoped for it to have the best of both worlds, it ended up just vaguely looking like a hybrid operating system that isn’t remotely as convenient as the Android interface.

Best Of The Series Still Doesn’t Match Up

The XL is the flagship X series Nokia phone. While it performs better than the other phones in the series, it proves to be no match for the android counterparts. On the bright side, it’s a sturdy make like all Nokia phones and has a fantastic battery life of running one whole day on a single charge.

But the X series doesn’t pack the firepower that comes with its Android counterpart in the form of applications, games and the simple fact that it is open sourced.

There’s this whole confusion between an Android-like OS and a Windows-like interface, users are finding themselves in a mess with a little bit of everything and nothing at the same time. It does provide you with a whole other level of experience, but not sure if it’s in a good way!
