Let’s face it; we’re all Facebook addicts to some extent. With social networking conquering our lives and so many to choose from, Facebook made a crucial move with this fully customized version of its smartphone app, called “”.

What Paper Looks Like

A lot like Flipboard, Zite and Feedly, Paper is a news-like illustration focused on your original news feed from the Facebook website. Making its debut on the the 3rd of February in the United States, Paper will present an engaging interface in the style of a magazine that allows you to enjoy full screen viewing, free of obstruction. Most other Facebook operations are not available on this app, but future versions may incorporate them. On a first look, it is simple to manipulate and its lucidity is pleasing.

How To Operate Paper

The first thing you see when you download Paper is a redesigned version of the News Feed. Big photos and videos are located at the top half of the screen, while status updates and links are on the bottom. To glance through pictures, you just have to swipe across to flip to the next picture. To go back to the new feed, you simply have to pinch the screen. To view large sized pictures, you can tilt your screen from side to side.

An added feature of Paper is “sections” where you can pick your favorite categories like ‘Planet’, ‘Enterprise’, ‘Flavor’, ‘Ideas’, ‘Headlines’ etc and save them. Sharing your own story is straightforward and interesting as the app offers you a precise preview of your post before you submit it. As of now, Paper is expected to be free of ads.
