Stadium Of Rome
The architecture of this stadium is inspired by the Colosseum, with an outer wall designed to resemble the Colosseum. The stadium is yet to be named, as the naming rights are still up for auction. This is sure to raise a good amount of funds, as it will be a current day monument.
Who Is Paying For This?
The name bidding will help in gathering the funds needed to pull this off. This project is of 1 billion Euros, and is going to be privately funded, completely. 300 million will be spent on the construction of the stadium, while the remaining 700 million will be needed to build the necessary infrastructure.
Word From Marino
By 2016, the stadium should stand erect between the city center and the Fiumicino airport, if Mayor Marino grants the building permits, which he has promised to do. Since the stadium is going to be in a key location, Mayor Marino has asked for the infrastructure from the city to the stadium and other necessary services to be paid privately too. Moreover, the deal is that the stadium is not to open until all infrastructures have been built.
The Modern Twin
This replica of the Colosseum is expected to attract a crowd of more intensity, at time of big matches, and regularly, all year around. There will be an entertainment area all around the stadium for Italians and foreigners to spend their time at shops, restaurants, and other events.
