Sony’s VR Headset To Debut At The GDC Next Week
The upcoming virtual reality device, Occulus Rift, started the project off as an amateur idea by developers Occulus VR on Kickstarter. Receiving millions in funding, the project is on its way to hit the markets soon. Amazed by the technology, the Japanese multinational corporation, Sony, is ready to dive head-first into the world of VR.

Aimed at trouncing every other virtual reality head mounted device out there, Sony will release a device of its own that will leave users stunned.
Sony’s Previous Head Mounted Displays
Since 2001, the brand has sold many head-mounted displays under its name, like the HMZ-T3W, and other personal HD and 3D viewers. The only thing lacking was VR functionality, but this is about to change.
When And Where
At the Game Developers Conference to be held in the end of March this year in San Francisco, USA, technology giant, Sony, is expected to introduce the world to its revolutionary product. The device will incorporate software to be developed by one of Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida studios, at a panel that focuses on “Driving The Future Of Innovation”.
Just for the PlayStation 4
Intensely metamorphosing the world of gaming, the virtual reality headset will be designed to work specifically with the PlayStation 4. Expected to bring virtual reality to the mainstream, Sony’s VR headset promises an immersive 3D experience along with motion-sensing functionality. Limited Software
The unveiling of this product will be accompanied with some limited software, from a Sony gaming studio. A prototype of the device has been handed to outside developers, and it is evident that the equipment used by Sony will be way more sophisticated than that of the Occulus Rift.
