#VenturiVBB3 A 700km/h Electric Car
Venturi, the made in Monaco car manufacturer, intends to break every speed record. The model, had already obtained in the record of the fastest electric car in the world in 2010, with a speed of 495 km/h. Now Venturi intends to try again with a new prototype, which despite moving on wheels, has more of the shape of a missile and is driven by electric motors.
Venturi VBB-3, the third generation of the record-setting car, is made with the team of American students and engineers of the Ohio State University, who are known for the Buckeye Bullet series. Their goal is to reach the top speed of 600 km/hr in 2013, 700 km/hr in 2014 and finally reaching a max top speed in 2015. Obviously, such a “monster” car, requires a particularly skilled and experienced pilot.
“The design of the electric car is world’s most powerful serves to consolidate the primary role of Venturi in the field of EV, but even more to innovate the product to optimize its energy efficiency.” Very interested in the project from a tech point of view is also the Ohio State Center for Automotive Research (CAR); a development program running for twenty years dedicated to high performance electric cars.
