The New Boots
Featuring a new boot from each of the five model ranges, the Adidas Battle Pack consists of Adizero f50, Predator, Nitrocharge, 11pro and Adizero f50 Messi. Available in the black and white colorway, the series is a visual representation of the adidas ‘all in or nothing’ campaign. Each cleat utilizes exactly 50% white and 50% black.
An Added Blue
Incorporating a unique blue and white colorway, the Adizero f50 Messi draws inspiration from the national colors of the Albiceleste. The black and white patterns of the boots draw reference from the face paint of warriors native to Brazil, and the traditional pavement patterns of ancient Mesopotamia on Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro.
Expressive Attributes
The individual patterns are designed to express the attributes of each shoe, as well as abilities of the player, such as victory, speed, bravery, control, energy and agility. As they strut their footballing skills in Brazil, the Battle Pack is expected to be worn by the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Arjen Robben and Oscar.
Five Ranges
The five ranges of the brand will each come with a new addition, and have been given upgraded colorways. According to Markus Baumann, Senior VP for Global Football at Adidas, the boots were made to be very visible on the pitch and stand out extreme range of colour that the world expects to see in Brazil.
All In Or Nothing
The Adidas campaign for the FIFA World Cup is “all in or nothing” and this mindset is represented perfectly through the black and white colourway chosen for the boots. All in all, the series pays a tribute to unique Brazilian design.
