Alfred Imageworks
A motion graphics studio based in Korea, Alfred Imageworks creates very slick and engaging animation films, with brilliant writing as well as acting. The studio produces media content based on design like Advertisement, Broadcasting design, Animation and Film, and could easily trounce Pixar in the near future.
The Laziest
Trailing the story of Johnny, the movie portrays him as the laziest delivery man in the universe whose job is to travel to different planets through space and deliver packages. He is so lazy that he simply wants to put his spaceship on autopilot and sleep. This time around, his task is to deliver a super tiny package, presumable for tiny aliens on another planet.
Aliens, Aliens Everywhere
When Johnny arrives at his destination, things go haywire. He is faced with weird encounters of strange and bizarre planets, causing trouble on his way. This is a monster movie, mind you, so those with a frail heart should probably step back.
Disaster And Genocide
Although ‘Genocide’ is a pretty scary word, it has been portrayed as the cutes possible thing in the movie. Johnny’s actions have disastrous effects on the residents of other worlds, and the entire situation is sadistic in a fun way. Eventually, Johnny does deliver the package.
Johnny’s Appearance
Johnny has been designed rather creatively, with a trucker-like appearance crammed into a shiny spacesuit, and a spaceship that is smeared with litter. It is quite evident that he’s the ‘I-just-want-to-get-my-salary-and-go-home’ kind of guy, and he is incredibly idle. This lack of attention leads him to eliminate an entire alien race.
Great Visuals and Fun Chaos
Created by animator Kyungmin Woo, Johnny Express has short and well-constructed humor as well as a sense of fun amidst all the chaos. The great visuals of the film make it an entertaining clip for everyone to watch.
