The Concept_One: First Of The Electric Supercars
Fossil fuels are running out, that’s no secret, and many car developers have turned their focus towards electric cars, to create something environmentally friendly. Mate Rimac is one such developer, except he turned to electric cars not for environmental friendliness, but because he believed with instant electrical power, a car can cut the crap and burst through performance charts to become the next supercar.

The Mind Behind It All
Rimac has a love for electronics. When in high school, he won a number of competitions with an electrical glove he invented that could be used as a mouse and keyboard. Later, he invented a car mirror without blind spots. He licensed out his mirror to a European automotive supplier. With the money from the mirror deal, he bought a 1984 E30 BMW. When the BMW’s engine blew up from drifting, he decided to merge his two passions, electronics and cars, which was the first step towards Concept_One.
The Concept_One
This sleek and not so subtle car was built for speed with 1,088 horsepower, split across four electrical motors, one for each wheel. It can sprint 0 to 60 MPH in 2.8 seconds, and has a top speed of 190 MPH. It can run 373 Miles from its 91 kWh battery pack.
What It Can Do
Having isolated motors for each of the wheels, the car can take smoother and sharper turns by applying the brakes for a second to the front wheel of the side you are turning to.
The First Of Its Kind
The Concept_One is set to sell at the end of 2015. Rimac has given the electric car community a genuine supercar to feel proud of.
