The Corella store in Spain has been given a makeover with a strong and unified look thanks to Barcelona-based branding agency Fauna. The minimal design uses only black and white as choices of color, and highlights the meat and cheese through the package.
Classy And Sleek
The design of the packaging is nothing short of classy, with a small illustration added to each label that references the selected meat or cheese. The best part about the meat packaging is that it tells you what part of the animal it comes from. A brilliant idea to say the least, the packaging is incredibly informative as well as attractive.
Demystifying The Process
If you’re a meat lover who loves cooking meat dishes, but you find yourself utterly lost when out buying meat, Corella will demystify the entire process of buying meat for you. The labels make use of square boxes to indicate the part of the animal that the meat is from.
Minimalist And Unifying
The crisp illustrations of livestock accentuated with black and white font and red or gold squares for highlighting the cuts, the design simply nails a minimalist image for the Spanish meat store. For those who actually want to know what they’re eating, this is an extremely practical approach, not to mention super appealing visually.
Bold And Clever
Fauna’s designs are no doubt bold and clever, and are more or less echoing of the flat design syndrome that seems to have taken over the world of digital design. An old-timer with designs of this kind would definitely be IKEA, in all its bold and informative packaging glory.
