Dell is all set to commercialize its newest laptop in the market – the Dell XPS 13 Ultrabook. The Dell XPS 13 has had many versions in the past, but they were always missing some integral components. With each new upgrade, great new attributes were incorporated into the laptop series, which makes this year’s version fully furnished with a high res display, touchscreen and in short, the best one yet.

Changes And Upgrades

The Dell XPS 13 first made its debut in 2012, and  has undergone several modifications since. The one thing that remained uniform throughout though, is its slim appearance, characteristic of the modern-day ultrabooks.

What is new in 2014 for the XPS 13 is its display. A whopping 1080 pixels touchscreen display was all it took to mark this beauty as one of the best buys out there. It is efficient and portable, with almost better functionality than the much-coveted Macbook Air.

The non-touch version of the Del XPS13 costs approximately $1,049. With an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM and an SSD card of 128GB, the price comes up to $1,349. If you want to opt for a fancier Core i7 CPU with 256GB SSD, you will have to shell out $1,649.

Design And Features

Most of the Del XPS13’s design is unchanged and similar to the original 2012 version, like the silver aluminium finishing. All in all, the ultrabook is very reflective of a MacBook.

The XPS 13 is super compact, measuring just 11-inches on the body and 13-inches on the screen. To give you an idea, that means the ultrabook is significantly smaller in size than your average professional laptop.

The top part of this laptop is made of aluminium, and the bottom of carbon fibre. On the front panel sits a mighty sheet of Gorilla Glass. The laptop may look tiny, but it’s actually pretty heavy. The touchpad is in the style of a clickpad, and the keyboard is in the standard Dell island-formation.
