Ducati D-Air
Announced by the Italy’s iconic motorcycle manufacturer, the Multistrada D-Air model is packed with life-saving features. The bike comes with a fully integrated intelligent system of sensors that are wirelessly connected to specially designed jackets.
The Ducati Apparel Airbag
The automated system of the Ducati motorcycle is synced to these customized jackets that contain an airbag called the Ducati Apparel airbag jackets. They were designed by Dainese, and will be the first of their kind in the world of motorcycles.
Combined Expertise
The passive safety system combines the expertise of the leading manufacturers Ducati and Dainese, and works with the help of sensors built into the Multistrada’s existing electronics. These sensors continuously monitor the dynamic situation of the motorcycle, and when a genuine accident scenario arises, the airbag is deployed.
Airbag Deployment
When an accident scenario is detected, the D-Air system of the Multistrada completes the data analysis as well as airbag deployment inside the rider and the passenger jackets in less than 45 milliseconds. The speedy deployment of airbags reduces the risk of injury at impact substantially.
Enhanced Safety
The best part about Ducati’s collaboration with Dainese is that the partnership highlight’s the morotcycle brand’s persistent dedication to providing enhanced safety. Previously, Ducati has worked to implement safety using the Ducati Safety Pack that included multi-level ABS and traction control.
