The LA100 Version Two was announced by the company recently, and will feature a new OperationCenter control interface app based on Windows Phone 8 as well as Wi-Fi connectivity.
A Fantastic Replacement
For those of you who own an LA100, this second version is a fantastic replacement for your model. It is focused on making mapping or aerial photography super easy for users with no expertise with using UAVs.
How To Use
To use the LA100, you simply have to program a flight path, launch the aircraft with your hand, and sit back and wait. The drone will capture stills or videos as it follows your outlined path, and come right back to you. The biggest alteration in Version 2 is that you can now punch in the flight path on your Smartphone or tablet instead of a laptop, making it easy to choose one on location.
Wi-Fi Connectivity
With the integration of Wi-Fi connectivity, users are now provided the added functionality via the OperationCenter app. You can check the progress and systems such as battery level in real time, while the device is in the air. The virtual operation center is a prominent upgrade in the second version, providing an ideal control interface.
Taking It One Step Further
The rest of the specifications of the LA100 Version 2 are almost identical to its predecessor, and the drone is priced at US$1,370 (€990), same as the first version. Nevertheless, if you want to take your aerial shooting one step further, you can take a look at the LA200 or LA300 models by Lehmann Aviation.
