Appearing to operate almost exactly like the one portrayed in Back To The Future Part 2, this hoverboard comes with a supporting app compatible with iOS as well as Android.

Don’t Believe It Till You See This

The company released a video showing the likes of Tony Hawk, Moby and Schoolboy Q trying out the hoverboard, dubbed HUVr. Yes, it actually does float a few feet off the ground.

Cracked The Technology

Claims are afloat that HUVr Tech cracked the hover technology to be able to develop the device, and the personalities they enlisted tested it out at an even in Los Angeles, USA.

How It Works

All you have to do is download the assisting HUVr App on your iPhone or Android device from where you can control the board. The board connects wirelessly to your Smartphone via Bluetooth and lets you review track route information like path, distance, speed and travel time. Additionally, you can add and share locations on social media.

How It Began

At the MIT Physics Graduate Program, the hoverboard began as a summer project back in 2010. It then evolved into one of the most exciting products to be developed from MIT.

The Team

The team of developers involved in the project includes electricity, materials science and magnetism experts. These talented individuals have apparently found the answer to one of science’s greatest mysteries – the key to antigravity.

Future Endeavors

With a strong focus on improvement, the HUVr Board team eventually plans to enhance the efficiency, speed and sustainability of mass transportation. The ongoing research and development is currently under funding to be able to change the economics of the product. Only time will tell if this product will ever be a reality.
