LazeeEye Wants To Give Any Smartphone 3D Mapping Capabilities
Humans have always desired to capture a moment in time, to keep and revisit. Photography seemed to serve this purpose quite perfectly, but a flat earth also served a purpose once upon a time. What if you could capture moments the way they really are? If you care for such a thing, hear out what LazeeEye has to say.

LazeeEye To Remind Us
Wake up! You got used to 2D representations of reality, just as you get used to seeing in the dark. Humans are capable of so much, it is true, we extrapolate a 2D image in our minds to form an idea of how the moment might have looked like, and we are good at it. But imagination is not accurate when judging reality.
LazeeEye Prototype
LazeeEye is still in its prototype stage, so we do not know how the finished product will look like. From what we have seen of LazeeEye, it is an add-on hardware piece that looks like a bulky toothbrush strapped onto a Smartphone.
What Can It Do?
With the Stereo Vision app, it can capture 3D images, which you can rotate, zoom, and edit. The app is has 3D measurements and modeling capabilities.
How Does It Work?
We see 3D because we see with two eyes, giving us a sense of depth. A normal Smartphone is unable to do this as it has only one camera. The add-on hardware projects laser illuminations, which help confirm the depth.
Still In Kickstarter
LazeeEye are currently in need of crowdfunds on Kickstarter, to get on with their work and create a better prototype. If you are interested in their pursuit, you can support them.
