Meet The Johammer J1 – The Motorcycle Inspired By Drug Use
Of all the strange motorcycles you’ve seen in your life, this will be the strangest yet. The Johammer J1 was developed by Austrian electric motorcycles manufacturers, and was clearly inspired by Cuttlefish. With ultra-cool hub-center steering, the Johammer J1 is a beauty to ride and watch.

The Propulsion
The gauges of this beauty are 86’d in favour of a display in the mirrors, and propulsion is derived from an 11 kilowatt motor that is mounted on the hub. The bike weighs about 350 pounds, and can generate about 14 horsepower. Which, for you and me, means it’s a really slow bike, giving passersby more time to drool over it as you ride by.
Battery Pack
Powered by an 8.3 kilowatt hour battery pack, the J1.150 as it’s called, can last for over 93 miles. Its successor, the J1.200 comes with a 12.7 kWh battery pack that lasts for a good 124 miles. The J1.200 weighs 400 pounds and is pretty expensive. What the two models have in common though, are regenerative break systems, with a single-stage gearbox of twist-and-go function.
The Makers
The company behind these beastly vehicles is based in Austria, and puts craziness before everything else. Focusing on innovative, electrically-driven vehicles, the brand is paving a path towards a progressive future.
Anthropomorphic Look
The bike is given an anthropomorphic look with the help of a set Z bars that have tall rear-view mirrors on top on them. These mirrors are integrated with LED running lights as well as turn signals, and also feature LCD screens that indicate the speed, charge level, odo etc. Apart from all the kickass integrations, these mirrors also serve the basic functionality of giving you visibility of everything that you pass by, most of which will be stunned onlookers.
Pricing
The first model of the Johammer, the J1.150 is available for purchase at a price below $32,000. The second model, the J1.200 is available for purchase priced at just under $35,000.
