How many times we heard that NASA is doing impossible and astonishing work in the space…? Yes, one of these is 3D printing on space.

NASA has recently announced that it plans to bring a 3D printer in space in 2014 and now want to see how it could work there. The video you can see in below, complete with a soundtrack unlikely, shows how the astronauts will soon be able to print objects as they orbit the Earth. As claimed by the astronaut Timothy Creamer, as will “to create replicas of Star Trek here on the site.”

The idea is to allow the astronauts aboard the International Space Station to produce equipment and spare parts whenever the need arises. NASA, of course, will provide the diagrams and drawings for the press before the start of the printer.
