Neurocam – The Camera That Can Read Your Mind

Another wearable device all set to hit the market, the Neurocam is a whole new kind of innovation. Developers claim it can read your mind. As if that wasn’t fascinating enough, they also claim it can record moments of interest according to an analysis of your brainwaves.

Analytics Algorithm
The analytics algorithm used in this super cool product revolves around the sensitivity values of interest. It was developed by Professor Mitsukura of Keio University, and then taken over by the team of Neurowear in order to make it usable just for the Neurocam. The algorithm quantifies your interest on a scale of 0 to 100.
A Camera
Yes, the device comes with a camera that is automatically triggered to record and save little animated clips of scenes that you are showing the most interest in (>60). You can then review the GIF which will be saved in the album complete with timestamp and location. There is also a manual mode that allows you to shoot scenes on your own and you can share your scenes on Facebook.
Hardware Used
A combination of new customized sensor with Neurosky’s Mind Wave Mobile is used in the hardware of the device. Embedded with the latest BMD chip, the accessory revamps your smartphone into a brainwave, analyzing device with the screen displaying interesting scenes.
Similar Products
The sensors used in Neurocam bear great similarity to the moving cat earstand TV navigation that debuted last year. The Neurocam prototype was showcased at the 2013 Human Sensing conference in Japan, and connects to a headband which contains the brainwave sensor.
Exciting Features
The camera sensor will sit right next to your eye and will subsequently capture whatever you are looking at. Your smartphone is held in the same place as well, making the wearable rather heavy compared to other brainwave reading devices.
