Ranging from apocalyptically awful to promising to even great, these TV shows will offer a whole variety of entertainment nonetheless.

Ascension

From all the new shows that Syfy has coming, Ascension is probably the most intriguing. With Tricia Helfer from Battlestar Galactica in the lead, this show is all set to take you on a spaceship ride out of Earth in 1963. The six episode series will speak of a plan to perpetuate the human race, and comes with a great premise that has been combined with a wonderful aesthetic.

The Whispers

Starting off pretty bland, the trailer for this show just gets weirder and weirder after that. All set to air on ABC, the pilot is directed by Mark Romanek who also directed the ‘Cloer” video by Nine Inch Nails. Starring Milo Ventimiglia from Heroes and Lily Rabe from American Horror Story, the show is written by Soo Hugh.

Gracepoint

Starring David Tennaut from Doctor Who, the show puts a slightly different spin on the actor’s portrayal of a police detective. A remake of sorts of the UK series called Broadchurch, the show also stars Anna Gunn from breaking Bad, and the two try to track down the killer of a child.

Transporter: The Series

Alas, the Transporter trilogy has been turned into a TV show. With an undisclosed actor signed to play the role of Jason Statham, the show will be broadcasted on TNT.
