Nike’s move to do away with limitations in color and materials are expected to show a boost in popularity for the relatively low price point shoes. If you’re looking forward to mix and match the perfect pair for your summer athletic escapades, April 8th is the day for you.
Piece Of Art For The Launch
The task of creating a bespoke piece of art for the launch of the new Nike Roshe Run was assigned to AW Labs, and they sure did a spectacular job at it. The shoes are expected to be released in various AW Labs across Europe, and the Zen characteristics of the Roshe Run is what needed some highlighting.
3D Paper Cut World
The team rendered the physiognomies of the Roshe Run in a three dimensional paper cut world of sorts. The end result – a running track set within a morning mist filled Japanese garden, all in blissful white.
The Roshe Run
In comparison to its Nordstrom Rack days, the Nike Roshe Run has definitely come a long way. You can now spot pairs everywhere from Finishline to Footlocker, and many of the sneaker boutiques across the world.
The Display
The Roshe display at AW LAB in Barcelona, Spain built to showcase the beauty of the shoe, is truly one of the most exceptional of its kind. The beautiful center-piece depicts the Zen roots that the shoe was inspired from, and many cutouts are layered to form a 3D structure that shows a Japanese temple during a morning sunrise. A multi-level carousel filled with recently released Roshe Runs sits in front of the centerpiece, and this brings out the extremely versatility and simplistic nature of the kicks.
