Ouya New Video Game Console
Posing as tough competition to the existing gaming consoles that we all know and adore, OUYA is an all-new product that works with your TV and is powered by Android. OUYA looks like a tiny little box, but don’t be deceived – it is packed with power. To produce games for the living room, you as a developer will have to access OUYA’s open design to maximize the potential of everything that your TV is capable of doing. World-Class Gaming
It consists of a truly high-end controller, with a console and interface that are all packed into one exquisite yet inexpensive package. The games on this console are expected to be more or less free, eliminating all roadblocks in gaming you may have faced before.
Anyone Can Make A Game
Since every OUYA package will be accompanied with a developer’s kit, the option to design your own game is left to you. You don’t need a costly SDK or even a license, because it is built on Android, which most developers are very familiar with.
Build From Anywhere
OUYA is not an Android port, and that simply means that you can pretty much build your dream game right from your bed, with no pants on. There is no retail, publishing or licensing fees, and this changed AAA game development altogether.
The Making Of OUYA
Working with Yves Behar, an award-winning designer with support from Fuseproject, his firm, it is being designed to contain everything you love about gaming. From fast buttons and triggers to laser-precise analog sticks and a D-Pad, it will have it all. You can even publish your existing Android apps directly to OUYA.
