SnapUp Is The New Shoppable Pinterest
Bargain hunting is not as easy as it seems, but this new mobile application called SnapUp is all set to change that. Launched last week with the help of a crowdfunding venture, the app is aimed at minimizing the task of looking for bargaining to simply taking a screenshot.

Yes, you read that right, a screenshot is all it’s going to take. With this app, shoppers can track products and price trends easily right from their phones.
How SnapUp Came About
According to Shan Mehta, co-founder of SnapUp, the app was developed in order to find the ultimate mobile tool for shopping. Organizing was the main focus, and doing that on a mobile phone is not an easy task especially when it comes to shopping lists.
Track All Your Products
This app lets you take screenshots from the mobile website or app of a retailer, and then tracks those products to help with your bargain. The products are then organized into various kinds of shopping lists with the help of a bookmarking tool, but the products or lists cannot be shared. Everything in this app is made private in order to ensure that the user is able to trust the software with their privacy.
Shoppable Pinterest
The bookmarking feature of this app will probably remind you a lot of Pinterest, but the major difference here is that SnapUp lets you purchase the items you have chosen directly. The lack of social features is also an evident dissimilarity between the two services.
How SnapUp Works
SnapUp extracts all important data as soon as you take a screenshot, such as the photo, product name and price from the picture. These prices are constantly regulated by this app in the background, and when there is a drop in prices, a timely alert is sent to you. When the app finally launches, it is expected to work with more than 1,000 retail websites.
