Surfboards By Octovo And Tilley
Originally an accessory label, Octovo is now changing lines to collaborate with Tilley Surfboards to create their very own surfboards. These are offered in sets of five with attractive custom board designs. The products come from their second Off Map collaboration project, which is aimed at creating something new every time around.

How The Surfboards Are Made
Using hand-shaped foam, the company added custom-milled wooden skins to their creations such that every single board is minimalistically colored. This allows for the natural charm of the wood to stand out.
Protective Measures
A leash cup made out of bronze or titatium is also incorporated into their boards, which are sold in bags made of specially-designed water-proof UV material. The bags have pads at the tail and nose, and come with leather covers for extra protection.
The Collaboration
Based in South Oregon, Tilley Surfboards is a great partnership for Octovo, a brand that has long been popular for its luggage accessories and bags. The designs are individualistic and combine master surfboard builder Jason Tilley’s method of pairing local, custom-made skins with hand shaped foam.
The Boards
Matching the many different conditions that surfers may have to surf through, the boards come in distinct shapes that have unique graphic themes for each. The boards are, in fact, so perfectly rendered, that some people may actually be scared to scratch the surface.
Paint Schemes
If you look closely, you’ll notice that the paint schemes for each board is so simplistically charming that it reminds you of Apple products. It is no surprise then, that the schemes were formulated by the ex-Director of Industrial Design at Apple.

The Octovo Tilley line of surfboards are priced between $3000 to $3600, and can be ordered online at the official Octovo website or on other websites as well.
