The Gear Fit is no ordinary fitness band, and comes with all the functionalities of the new age smartwatch.

• The atypical shape of the display means you that can’t choose your own strap for the watch, unless you buy one of Samsung’s customized bands.

Swiping and Sensors

To navigate on this smartwatch, you just have to swipe left and right with a fluid motion that is incredibly fast and responsive. Present on the watch are menus containing apps such as a stopwatch, a timer and even a heart rate monitor.

As soon as you open the app, a built-in sensor present below the primary component of the smartwatch picks up your pulse as it remains in contact with your wrist. In addition to this, there is an exercises menu that lets you pick activities like walking, running or cycling, and helps you track it.

Syncing With Galaxy Smartphones

A supporting application can be installed on Samsung Galaxy smartphones, that will give you added functionality to control Gear Fit. Providing a range of wallpapers, clock-designs and background colors to customize your smartwatch with, this app also comes with a device locator.

The app gives you workout advice and training recommendations tailored to your needs and personality.  With the aid of this app, Gear Fit can receive and display notifications about important happenings such as an appointment on your S-planner or the arrival of a text message.
