If only there was a system that could give you all the information you need about everything you eat, things would be so much easier. Wrap-Genius is a nutrition label that has been created by an NYU grad student to solve that problem.
Introducing Wrap-Genius
Sam Slover created Wrap-Genius in order to personalize one’s entire diet, such that it adapts to them according to their wants and needs. If you are more of a meat person and want to make sure you get all your proteins right, then you just have to refer to the list of suitable foods for you. The app customizes nutrition depending on the distinctive diets, backgrounds and preferences of every individual.
Understanding The Nutritional Profile
The label is aimed at simplifying the process of understanding what the food you’re consuming looks like on a nutritional profile. Important details like realistic serving amount, all good and bad nutrients, and the degree of processing are all provided by the app.
The nutrition label has been redesigned by Slover to feature three categories of color-coded data, ranging from Quick Facts rendered in neutral blue, Avoid Too Much in alerting red, to Get Enough in healthy green.
What It Includes
The categories change their ingredients from time to time, but Avoid Too Much usually has saturated fat and sodium under it by default. These can be tailored to suit a strict red meat diet or even a sugar control diet for diabetics. The Wrap-Genius website was built by documenting the stats of about 3,548 individual food ingredients that Slover consumed over 3 months.
