Goophone Is An Imposter Of HTC One
The Chinese market is flooded with imitations of iPhones, Tablets and even television sets. It certainly doesn’t come as a surprise then that the manufacturer behind one of the most obvious lookalike Smartphones of the year, the Goophone is Chinese, too.

Bearing a rather uncanny resemblance to the HTC One (M8) that isn’t even out yet, Goophone seems to have ripped the concept right out off HTC’s website.
Similarities That Aren’t Very Similar
Although the two Smartphones look a lot like each other at first sight, Goophone has features that are an obvious downgrade to the original HTC One. Instead of on-screen buttons that are incorporated into the HTC One, the Goophone uses capacitive keys.
The replica has a MediaTek octa-core 1.7GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and 3G data speeds that is no competition to flagship Smartphones. It comes in gold, though.
Pricing That Will Save Your Wallet
If it wasn’t for the big Goophone logo on the back of the phone, you could have just made your friends believe you got the HTC One before time. It costs super less, priced at just $230 and you can order it online.
Previous Cloning Attempts
The Chinese manufacturer Goophone made headlines last when it introduced a clone of the Samsung Galaxy S5. It happened two days after the 2014 Mobile World Congress, when Samsung had just unveiled its new installation to the Galaxy range of Smartphones.
HTC One M8 Release And Specs
Taiwanese mobile company, HTC, will release its upcoming Smartphone on 25 March, 2014, and is due to blow the imposters away. Using a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 system-on-chip (SoC), a larger 2,900mAh battery and a microSD card slot, the HTC M8 is expected to be a specs beast.
