#LED Carpet Helps You Find Your Way

Have you ever wondered where to find your baggage in a large airport? Soon enough the answer will be right on the floor. Phillips has partnered with flooring manufacturer Desso to create LED carpets that  integrate lighting into fabric, allowing information to be presented through arrows or text.

The carpet can be programmed to display a wide array of information, allowing it to be more versatile than traditional signs. Some ideas for its usage can include:

• Advertisements on casino floors
• Directions on how to exit a movie theatre
• Directions to baggage and terminal points in an airport

The possibilities are endless! Look for the carpet to be rolled out in 2014.
